A series of four, 2-hour webinars facilitated by Dottie Susag. The goal of the series is to experience lessons that authentically integrate the Essential Understandings Regarding Montana Indians. After an interactive lesson, participants will debrief and discuss ideas for adapting and integrating the lesson into your classroom.

• Jan. 18, 2022 – Nature and Gifts Through Montana Indian Poetry – Gr. 5-12
• February 1, 2022 – Living the Now in the Presence of the Past through Joy Harjo’s Poetry – Gr. 9-12
• February 15, 2022 – Healing Power of Indian Poetry and Film – Gr. 6-12
• March 1, 2022 – Critical Literacy: Reading and Viewing beyond Bias and Stereotypes – Gr. 6-12

OPI Renewal Units: Earn 2 credits for each 2-hr session you join or earn 4 credits per session by implementing the lesson in your classroom and completing a follow-up reflection form.
