IEFA 101: The Essentials

Indian Education for All (IEFA) is a vital part of the education of Montana students (K-12). Designed to be weaved through all subjects it is important for the classroom teacher to have a good understanding of IEFA. This workshop focuses of the historical background of IEFA and the seven Essential Understandings regarding Montana tribal nations. This workshop provides the foundation for effective IEFA in the classroom.

Presenter: John Keener is a Program Coordinator at the Montana Center for Inclusive Education at Montana State University Billings where he coordinates professional development for the Montana Regional Education Service Area III (MRESA3) and the Region III Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD).He has been involved in IEFA on a state and regional level for over ten years.
