We will discuss why pollinators are important, the lifestyles of different bee groups, the roles of wild bees in wildland and modified ecosystems, the threats to wild bees, and how we can help pollinators. We will also touch on various native bee research projects in Montana and elsewhere that are improving our understanding of the myriad threats to pollinators and possible conservation actions. Special emphasis will be given to bumble bees.
