The Science Math Resource Center at Montana State University hosts an online workshop for educators on Sept. 22 as part of its MSU Research in Action series that highlights the work of MSU researchers so that teachers may incorporate this cutting-edge research into their classrooms.
The September presenter is Dr. Emily Dieter of MSU Chemistry and Biochemistry. The presentation will be most appropriate for high school science teachers; future workshops will cover other grade levels. Teachers will learn about the importance of using authentic activities in their classrooms to meet the needs of diverse learners through supporting STEM identity and sense-of-belonging. The teachers will hear about the journey of researchers through STEM so that the teachers can bring the stories to their classrooms as well.
