Self-Care and Mindfulness in a Changing Educational Environment

The Region IV CSPD is hosting this weekly workshop with psychotherapist Ben Carr. The purpose of this series of sessions is to increase the audience’s academic and applied knowledge of self-care and mindfulness to reduce stress during the times of Covid-19.  We will explore causes of stress and paths to stress reduction.  This series will merge western psychology with philosophies found in eastern cultures.

Each session will include a discussion clarifying what is meant by a variety of terms including mindfulness, illusion of control, stress, coping mechanisms, self-compassion and the joy and anxiety of impermanence. Participants will participate in a variety of mindfulness techniques suitable for self-care and implementation with students.

Participants can join all sessions or just one. Visit the event website to register.
