This 3-week module is designed for grades K-3 teachers. Participants in this module will examine learning progressions in Number and Operations with a focus on active engagement strategies that promote understanding of number sense. Specific goals include:

  • Recognize the differences and different uses of strategies vs. algorithms
  • Examine learning progressions related to Number and Operations
  • Incorporate models for active learning
  • Develop precise mathematics vocabulary

SteaM with a Capital “M”!
