ENROLLMENT OPENS Dec. 12, 2021 – STREAM: Developing Fraction Sense (3-5) (Jan. 9 – Jan. 30, 2022)

This module examines learning progressions related to fractions with a focus on foundational ideas that promote fraction sense and understanding. Specific goals and activities include the following:

• Examine ways to develop “fraction sense.”
• Discover how learning progressions for K-2 geometry support the development of fraction knowledge in grades 3-5.
• Explore fraction equivalence and comparing and ordering fractions using a variety of models and manipulatives.
