The Magic of Pow Wows

In conjunction with Montana State University Billings Native American Achievement Center’s annual pow wow, educators will have the opportunity to learn about pow wows. This inter-tribal gathering will be a first-hand experience for teachers. The history and customs of pow wows will be shared. There will be the opportunity to see and meet dancers prior to attending the pow wow on campus. There are several resources being considered for this workshop including “Jingle Dancer” and “Bow Wow Pow Wow”.

Special Information
The workshop will be held in Room 122 in the College of Education at MSUB. Lunch will be on your own. The afternoon will be involved in attending the MSUB Pow Wow, before finishing in Room 122. A laptop computer or tablet device will be needed for the workshop.
