Shakespeare, Performance, and Pedagogy (Course begins May 20 and ends June 26)

May 11 - May 17

  • Online Course: May 20 – June 18
  • Face-to-Face Course: June 19 – June 26

This course will focus on the most effective ways to approach Shakespeare in the classroom. We will evaluate several different resources and strategies, with a particular emphasis on how watching performances and engaging in performance exercises can enhance students’ appreciation and understanding of Shakespeare’s plays.

The course is online for four weeks, then culminates in several days of in-person interaction surrounding the Montana Shakespeare in the Parks performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Cymbeline.
