Looking for a new way to incorporate art into the curriculum? Or, perhaps looking for new art projects in your elementary classroom? Printmaking is an engaging and satisfying art form with a great variety of easily manageable projects available across grades K-12. This two-day class will cover a general overview of the history of printmaking and tools/materials used in printmaking processes. Students will participate in hands-on projects in Gyotaku, screen printing, nature prints, collagraph, and linoleum block printing. At the end of the two-day course, teachers will be knowledgeable in five different printmaking techniques and will be able to take at least one project back to the elementary or secondary classroom.
