This Institute is designed for education professionals (teachers, teacher educators, instructional coordinators/curriculum specialists, librarians/media specialists) who recognize a need for, and are interested in advancing their practice of incorporating more complete narratives about American Indian histories, cultures, and contemporary lives into their teaching. Educators whose primary teaching focus is within the social studies, English language arts, or library sciences and who work with students in grades 4–12 are strongly encouraged to apply. The Institute is free of charge and housing and lunches are provided for the duration of the Institute! Applications are due Monday, May 06.
