Hybrid teaching with technology while continuing to utilize traditional pedagogical practices is becoming an integral aspect of modern instruction. In this course, attendees will learn how to integrate and use multimodal instruction and technology with traditional classroom methods. Understanding by Design (UBD) frameworks and examples will be demonstrated. A list of resources available upon completion. We will also look at combining student journals with online curriculum and free resources. Additionally, two contextual resources will be discussed during the two day course. The first is Carey, B. (2014). How we learn: The surprising truth about when, where, and why it happens. The other is Mayer, R. (2009). Multimedia Learning (2nd ed.).
