In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, embracing the potential of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is essential for educators to prepare their students for the future. This workshop is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to integrate Code.org [code.org] CS Fundamentals & AI tools in their classrooms, with particular focus on teaching developmentally appropriate fundamentals in K-5 classrooms.
We will explore integrating the Code.org [code.org] Fundamentals curriculum, CS Connections, into content areas like language arts and math. We will also explore AI integrations into coding and popular edtech tools to create opportunities for dynamic and engaging classrooms. We will also discuss the implications of AI in the classroom and how to foster purposeful and responsible use of these technologies. Our focus will be on teacher-friendly, easy to use tools such as MagicSchool AI, School AI, Curipod and others.
