The Western Montana CSDP is hosting this series of early childhood/preschool instruction webinars with presenter Stephanie Lester. Each webinar can be taken independently or as part of the series. This session’s topic is Oral Language Development: Making a Meaningful Difference for Children. You may have heard about the “30 Million Word Gap” but what does it truly mean for early childhood educators and how they address early language and overall development in all children in their classrooms? Incorporating a research-to-practice perspective, this session will explore the critical role that vocabulary, storytelling, and plain conversation play in the development of children’s oral language
