Digital Storytelling with Elementary Learners

June 8 @ 8:30 am - June 9 @ 5:00 pm

| $100

Storytelling is a fantastic way to engage students and help them make connections to their learning. In this course, educators will learn about tools for digital storytelling, including examples and ideas. Educators will be introduced to different tools, then given time to explore and create. At the end of the course, educators will choose a digital storytelling tool and create a lesson plan that they will implement in their classroom. The course will be facilitated using Seesaw, and tools introduced will include: WriteReader, Scratch Jr, Pixton and PicCollage. Educators will leave with an understanding of several digital tools, examples of each and lesson ideas ready to implement in their classrooms. Tools used will be free, or free trial access will be provided, so educators do not have to purchase any apps or subscriptions for this course.
