MCCS Elementary Alignment Module

This session provides a seven unit guide for teachers to collaboratively create a curriculum for all students that is centered around an underlying framework, consisting of the written, taught and learned, and tested curriculum. The collaboration involves identifying strengths and weaknesses and the alignment of current curriculum to the MCCS, specifically to address areas that need to be strengthened. The module is ideally used by Professional Learning Communities, at PIR days, for staff meetings, or at grade level meetings.

Session Objectives:

  • Determine appropriate resources and the alignment guide to be used for curriculum alignment
  • Identify the optimal taught and learned curriculum aligned to the MCCS
  • Create text dependent questions
  • Learn ways to continue collaboration at the school site

MCCS Elementary Alignment Module can be found on the iTunes University.
