Introduction to Foundational Skills and Montana Content Standards

This is the prerequisite course for a pathway of courses on Foundational Skills and the Montana Content Standards for Elementary Schools. Through this pathway, participants will develop an understanding of foundational skills in the MCS and learn to assess, plan to teach, teach and re-assess the following foundational skills: print concepts, phonological awareness, phonics and word recognition, and fluency.
