Integrating SEL with Literacy

Building a safe and caring classroom community is so important for students in their development as writers, readers, critical thinkers, and problem solvers.  Experience the guiding principles of a collaborative classroom and lessons that place an equal emphasis on social and emotional learning and academics, so that all students feel a sense of connectedness and interact in meaningful ways as they exchange ideas with others, expand and enrich their ideas, and produce meaningful messages.  Leave this session with helpful resources to use at the beginning of the year to build your community of readers and writers
