This workshop is a part of the “Teaching with Primary Sources” training through the Library of Congress. This training encompasses a two-day workshop, with 3 webinars and 3 Edchats as support through the school year. This will be a “hands on” experience exploring the Library of Congress and homesteading using local resources. ┬áParticipants will learn exploring and using primary resources from the Library of Congress; build partnerships between educators and local museum staff, and incorporate Indian Education for All into content curriculum. ┬áThis workshop will be offered in two locations: Great Falls and Miles City. There will be a stipend available for participants to help pay with travel expenses. Each two-day workshop is worth 12 OPI Renewal Units.

Presenters Ruth Ferris and Kathi Hoyt are experienced trainers in the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources program. Both are librarians in the Billings School District. Both have presented in Montana and beyond.

This workshop is being presented through a grant from the Library of Congress through MRESA3 in collaboration with PESA and MNCESR.
