Montana Math Matters: Growth Mindset and Productive Struggle (Hardin, MT)

January 20 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Participants will learn how a growth mindset affects achievement in mathematics; learn instructional strategies to promote student perseverance and productive struggle and increase student math skills and knowledge; engage in math activities; and discuss strategies that can increase all students enjoyment and learning of mathematics.

All K-12 Math teachers and administration invited to attend.

Brooke Taylor is a math teacher at Senior High School and a Billings native although she’s taught in 4 other states. She enjoys learning for “fun” and creating lessons that involve cross-curricular content with math standards and IEFA. She also teaches an online course with MTDA, is working toward National Board Certification, and was a facilitator for the math STREAM project for high school teachers. Brooke is currently working on her dissertation study for an educational doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with MSU.
