This two-day workshop, hosted by the Golden Triangle Curriculum Cooperative as part of their 2017 Summer Institute, uses a blended-learning model in working collaboratively in acquiring knowledge and skills in arts integration, arts education advocacy, and arts education research and policy for assisting teachers for the enrichment of learning in their classrooms. Teachers will learn:
- art-based instructional tools in music, dance, visual arts and dance to ignite creativity;
- the current research arts education and apply this research in project based learning activities;
- how to use arts integration to engage students in reflection about what they learned;
- how to use student assessment of their own peers’ work as part of the learning process; and,
- much more.
